WAVER is a sonic, autobiographically infused, solo theatre performance that explores auditory and visual hallucinations [AVH] that occur as a result of borderline personality disorder [BPD]. We follow a day in the life of Ash, accompanying them as they experience AVH while navigating their perpetual anxiety, their workplace, the perils of public transport use, and trying to be their best possible self for their girlfriend whilst trying to cook a meal. It combines loop-pedal technology, live-scoring, beautiful composition, spoken-word & humour. It brings to life seldom-explored and frequently misunderstood corners of contemporary experiences of living with mental health disorders as a young queer person.

WAVER was developed in 2023, supported by Creative Scotland and Tron Theatre, a trailer for our work-in-progress is below.

WAVER will return in 2024.
