thick skin, elastic heart is an exciting collection of contemporary spoken word monologues and group poems, giving voice to a generation that is frequently reduced to a sound-bite in mass media… Ineffectual, lazy, oversensitive “snowflakes”. This production puts Millennial voices to the front, in all their over-sharing glory. thick skin, elastic heart is a kaleidoscope of diverse voices from throughout the UK, as if Dylan Thomas’ Under Milk Wood had been written in 2019 and filtered through Instagram.
